Ripped off

Cashstar - Ripped off
My wife bought me a gift card on Home Depot .com on Father's Day they use cash star for the e-gift cards. She printed it and put it in a card and it has stayed there since then, went to use it on Saturday 9 -5 and balance was 0 instead of the 500 she paid my Home Depot printed out transactions in two states over 1500 miles away with that gift card number. The Home Depot or Cash star will not do anything. I have included copies of receipts that shows the fraud and even where the items purchased with my gift card number had been delivered. Remember only cash star, Home Depot and i had this card number and mine has been in a Father's Day cord on my desk.

User's recommendation: do not buy a giftcard if the seller uses cash star.

Details
Bought an egift card from Cashstar for Noah's bagels in December. Have not been able to use the egift card since due to the card number being "invalid." Cashstar says the card has been used already and nothing they can do. Noah's bagels says they don't offer any support for egift cards.

User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM CASHSTAR.

Bought my wife a $500 gift card for Chico's through Cashstar. My wife went to use it and the balance was $3.83. We called Chico's and Cashstar. They said an online order was placed and shipped to an address that was not ours. Neither company will give us the order information nor refund our money. They are both worthless. Wish I had read their reviews before buying the gift card. Will never use Cashstar again nor will my wife ever shop at Chico's again. They could not care less about their customers.

User's recommendation: Do not get anywhere near Cashstar and sadly Chico's who condones their actions.

Its too messy, dont get involved with apps

firm, probably vodafone on my voda fone, gave me a free loyalty benefit, I clicked ok and after a short while, a digital e card for tesco appeared worth 1.50. As I was not in tescos, when doing this, I saved the card to my phone screen so I could spend it in tescos. Next day I opened the saved barcode, and it asked me for the access code, no idea, a few trials but ultimately I could not get in. I dont remember creating a pass to get into the barcode, as i just saved it when it appeared on the screen. If it had come by email, i could retrace the email, but as it just flashes fromgift card sstem by phone the app, with no clue as to my pass code, its wasted.

These people don't know what they are doing...not trained..and give poor information...they put you on a merry go round with no solution. I bought three 50.00 cards...only received two...so I'm out 50.00 thusfar, and, they haven't helped at all. Terrible customer service....The other day I asked to speak to a supervisor..I was on hold for 36 minutes ...and no one ever did come to the phone...the saga goes on and on...the worst experience I have ever had buying gift cards. Stay Away...and those companies such as Applebees who use them, should immediately STOP.

Ulta and Sephora use cashstar for e-gift cards. No card arrived. Money was of course removed from the account right away. Multiple attempts to obtain customer service, any response at all was ignored. The only thing I get is asked if I want to buy another card.

I tried calling about day 11 and was told, because it's Thursday, allow the time to last till Monday. I was too busy so I couldn't call til Tuesday. So I called stating still haven't received gift card, asked for a refund, was advised it can take 7-10 business days for refund. One month later, I have called. Cashstar has stated that on their side it showed refund was accepted by my instatution and I need to contact my bank. Well, I have a life freedom MasterCard. I have it through Voa, Volunteers of America, the life freedom card is not designed to receive any money for any reason except from my instatution that handles my SSI monthly income. So, 7-10 days was cleared that day. 2 months later, I still haven't seen my $25

My boyfriend purchased a Sephora GC through Cash Star for my birthday. When I received it, I told him I did not want it. The GC was never registered, used or opened. We immediately contacted Sephora and Cash Star customer service and cash star would not refund the amount back to his card. $250 is just wasted.

Details
Someone used my identity to order a gift card through this company. In an effort to get it resolved I emailed and called multiple times. Each time I was forwarded to a "fraud department" where I could leave a message. I left multiple messages and never received a call back. When I called the customer service again, and spoke to person, they said that was my only option.
